Sony arbeitet angeblich an einem neuen Anlauf ans Handheld-Segment. Demnach will man erneut versuchen, es damit Nintendo aufzunehmen. \u00c4hnliches versuchte Sony in der Vergangenheit mit der PlayStation Portable und der PlayStation Vita, scheiterte aber beide Male krachend. Jetzt soll eine neue, portable Spielekonsole in der Entwicklung sein, die es dann mit den Switch-Nachfolgern aufnehmen k\u00f6nnte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s claimed that the console is in the early stages of development, and is most likely still years away from being released, if it even happens at all \u2013 Bloomberg mentions that the company could decide not to launch it. However, as it stands, the goal is apparently to be able to play PS5 games on the go, and considering Bloomberg’s sources claim that the original plan for the PS Portal was for it to act more like a Steam Deck and be a standalone device, it sounds like it could be a lot more like a ‚traditional‘ handheld console. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it launched, the PS Portal required users to own a PS5 in order to use it, but just last week, Sony rolled out a fantastic new feature that gets rid of that requirement. The new cloud streaming beta allows PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers to stream select games (over 120 of them) via the cloud, with absolutely no need for a PS5. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is huge, since up to this point, it’s been impossible to take it out on the go like you can a Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch. Of course, you still need a stable internet connection in order to use it, so it’s still not quite as portable as either of the aforementioned competitors, but it’s still a massive upgrade. If this new handheld is real, hopefully it can improve on this further. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nintendo will bis Ende 2025 die Switch 2 (oder wie auch immer das Ger\u00e4t hei\u00dft) ank\u00fcndigen. Nach offiziellen Informationen soll das Handheld mit der aktuell erh\u00e4ltlichen Switch kompatibel sein. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gerade erst ver\u00f6ffentlichte Sony ein Update f\u00fcr Playstation Portal, mit dem man auch Spielestreaming \u00fcber die Rechenzentren von Sony verwenden kann \u2013 und nicht mehr nur \u00fcber die heimische Playstation 5. F\u00fcr den Zugriff auf die rund 120 unterst\u00fctzten PS5-Games ist ein Playstation-Plus-Premium-Spieleabo (rund 17 Euro\/Monat) n\u00f6tig. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
